|Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joseph Bweupe conducted case management visit increase in capacity. LPA met with facility director Fawn Montagna. Present during the visit was Sheri Lester (Administrator or chairman of Day-Care Board). Facility is requesting an increase in capacity from 12 children to 24 infant children. |
LPA toured facility inside in the classrooms to be utilized for day-care. LPA also toured the outside as well. LPA observed a total of 9 infant children and 4 infant staff at facility. LPA measured inside inside the classroom which had 4 rooms. Inside classroom had a total classroom space of 2,724 square feet /35 enough for 77 children which is enough space for 24 children increase in capacity that facility is requesting for.
LPA observed cribs, changing tables, furniture in the classrooms. Facility had 2 changing tables within arm's reach in the biggest classroom. LPA inspected the changing tables. Director stated that facility does not have medications for the infants. Facility had a fire clearance for 24 children. LPA observed first aid supplies, diapers, and cabbies.. Licensee stated that children bring their own food to facility.
LPA also measured the outside play area. Outside space measured total space of 3,104 square feet /75 enough for up to 41 children. LPA observed trees in the backyard for shade.
Effective December 16, 2016, LPA Bweupe would approve facility to be license for a capacity of 24 infant children that facility is applying for. LPA provided Notice of site visit
