|Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ana Tolentino made an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and met with Site Supervisor, Megan Ramsey. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection and together we toured the center inside and outside. The center operates year long, Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM to 5:30PM.|
There are 2 classrooms for preschool age children and 1 classroom designated for the toddler option program. The classrooms are equipped with age appropriate toys, games, books, cribs, napping equipment and changing tables. Children were observed to be visually supervised by teachers. The teacher to child ratio was met today with 7 staff supervising 18 children. All cleaning or hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children. Toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and in sanitary conditions. Center provides breakfast, lunch and snack. Kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are kept clean. Food is properly label and stored. Waste containers have tight-fitting covers. There is drinking water available for children inside and outside the classrooms. Preschool and Toddlers have their own outdoor play area, the playground equipment is in good condition. The areas around or under high climbing equipment have cushioned material. LPA reviewed a sampling of children's record, Identification and Emergency forms on file. Food menu is posted and all required licensing forms are posted visibly for child's authorized representatives to view. All staff have a criminal record clearance. Staff records are located at the CDR Human Resource Office and will be reviewed at a later date. CPR/First Aid cards for staff current and on file.
Center is not providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS). For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
