|Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mingle made an unannounced visit in order to conduct an Annual/random review and met with the director, Ms. Leticia Lares. The purpose of the visit was discussed and a tour of the after school program was conducted. The center uses one classroom for the program. Playground was free of hazards. |
There were no bodies of water present. Classroom toured was free of hazards. The floor was made of vinyl. There were adequate learning materials for the children in care.
Staff present have obtained immunization as mandated by SB792(Mendoza). LPA reviewed copies of immunization. Ms. Lares had a CPR/First aid certificate that expires on 6/11/2018. Children files inspected had Identification and emergency information. Ms. Lares stated that there were no children on prescribed medication.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Mandated Reporter AB 1207 was discussed. Staff present have completed training. Pesticide Training was discussed during this visit.
