|Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Darryl Liu conducted an unannounced random visit to the home today. LPA met with Jacqueline Delgadillo, Licensee, and explained the nature of today's visit to her. LPA observed three day care children (2 pre-school, 1 school-age) in the home during today's visit. Days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:00 A.M - 8:00 P.M. The adults in the home today are the Licensee. LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's visit.|
INDOORS: Off limit areas inside the home: upstairs and garage.. The home is clean & orderly for children. LPA Liu saw upon arrival stairs un-barricaded stairs near the front of the house which is required by regulations.
LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, a working smoke detector, and no bodies of water. The Licensee states that she does not have any weapons in the home. All detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and similar items are stored inaccessible to children. The Licensee has a working telephone in the home.
OUTDOORS: Off limit areas outside the home: fenced side yard. There is bird feces all on the ground and LPA Liu asked the licensee to clean it up. The off limit side yard fence is completely broken.
Paperwork: LPA Liu reviewed current children files, and out of date fire drill log, and up to date First Aid/CPR Card. LPA Liu requested the licensee to send an updated roster to licensing.
A review of staff records on 5/28/15 indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. LPA also reminded Licensee of the applicable civil penalties for those adults who have not received fingerprint clearances, are not associated to the license and who come in contact with or provide care and supervision to the children. Penalty amounts: $100.00 per person per day, minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $500.00 per person for an initial violation and a minimum of $100.00 to a maximum of $3000.00 per person for any subsequent violation within a 12 month period.
