|LPA Andrea Medlin met with staff for this plan of correction visit established on 3/28/18. Purpose of the visit explained. The following previously cited deficiencies were checked today:|
- Section 101216(f) Personnel Requirements. At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric first aid shall be present when children are at the facility or offsite activities. Staff now have current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.
- Health and Safety Code 1596.866 Additional health and safety training; For licenses issued on or after January 1, 2016, at least one director or teacher at each day care center, and each provides care, shall have at least one hour of childhood nutrition training day care licensee who as part of the preventive health practices course or courses. Director has the required 8 hours Health and Safety Training.
- H&S Code 1596.8662(3) On and after January 1, 2018, a person who becomes an administrator or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a) within the first 90 days reporter training every wo years that he or she is employed at the facility. Staff now have the required child abuse training as mandated by AB 1207.
- Section 101212(b) Reporting Requirements. The name of the child care center director or fully qualified teacher(s) designated to act in the director’s absence shall be reported to the Department with in 10 days of a change.
This report was reviewed with staff and a copy of this report must be made available for public review upon request.
