|Licensing Program Analyst Selina Siao conducted an unannounced visit for the purpose of capacity increase. Facility is currently licensed to care for 84 children in the multipurpose room and bungalow 35/science room. Licensee representative requested to increase capacity to 98 children by having the children use B22 and B37 as an alternate area for the upper grades only. Facility currently operates from 2:30-6pm and Wednesday from 12:00-6pm. Information obtained from the school principal indicated that the multipurpose room has sufficient space to accommodate up to 432 people. |
Present at the facility today are: Gray Ann Castillo Site Supervisor, teachers Belinda Ceides and Maria Rosales, teacher aides Maria Rosales and Leticia Lopez and substitute teacher aide Linda Fenderson.
All staff members have the required background clearance and are associated to the facility. Staff members files were reviewed today and all staff members have the required immunization on file per Senate Bill 792.
LPA conducted a tour of the new rooms B22 and B37 today as Site Supervisor stated that the media room is always being use by the school with other activities. All rooms appear to have appropriate equipment but there are some cleaning chemicals under the sink cabinets in room B22 and B37. Director has two new carbon monoxide alarms and will get permission prior to placing it in the classroom.
A fire clearance for the requested capacity was received on 1/24/2017 and facility shall ensure that the cleaning items under the sink cabinet are not available for children and that both rooms have an operating carbon monoxide detector. Facility shall submit pictures of the required corrections prior to approval of the capacity increase.
