Licensing Program Analyst, Joelle Redding, met with Director Vanessa Milroy for the purpose of an unannounced random annual inspection. There were 21 infants present as follows: Room 1: 7 infants with two teachers; Room 2: 14 toddlers with three teachers and two aides. Program operates Monday thru Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.

LPA toured the rooms. The furniture and equipment, both inside and out, are safe, age-appropriate and in good repair. Both rooms have adequate heating, lighting and ventilation, are clean and orderly, and free of hazards. All foods/beverages are labeled/dated and stored per regulation in the infant room refrigerator. Food service area for toddlers consists of a kitchen which is clean and free of hazards, with food stored per regulation and the menu is posted. Infant bedding napping equipment is sufficient and meets regulatory requirements. Hand washing and toileting areas are in a safe, sanitary and in operating condition. All storage containers or trash cans containing solid waste have tight fitting lids and are in good repair. Infant changing tables have padded washable vinyl at least one inch thick with sides raised at least 3 inches, per regulation and are within arm’s reach of a sink. Infant Needs and Services were on file for all infants. There is several staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. Poisons, disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other items that are dangerous to children have been made inaccessible. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. The carbon monoxide detector is operational. LPA reviewed, sign in/out sheets (the facility uses electronic sign in/out), a sample of personnel records for educational qualifications and a sample of children's records for emergency information and medical assessments. LPA discussed SB 792 (staff immunizations) and AB 1207 (Mandated Reporter Training) requirements have been met. SIDS was discussed and the Child Care Providers Guide to Safe Sleep Handout was provided. Isolation area is the Director's office.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information
