LPA Miriam Pennock conducted a case management visit to the school age program at Children's Preschool in Poway. LPA met with Assistant Director Renee Erickson and Tammy Myers. Children are not out of school yet so there is no one here. If you want to see any children here earlier, you need to come on Wednesday which is the short day in the school district. The last visit here was on May 18, 2015 for a Random annual visit.
Renee Erickson is in charge today as Director Anoush Tencati is out of town on vacation. Renee Erickson is Renee Jankowski on the computer. Tammy Myers is assisting at the facility.
Assistant Director is getting ready for summer activities including field trips, going to the park and other activities including art work. When the children come during the day, they normally have snack and then do their homework. A tour was taken of the school age area and it is clean, safe and sanitary and in good repair. Furniture is in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All floors are clean and safe.
There are two new drinking fountains - one inside the school age room and one outside in the play area. Outdoor play activity space is free of hazards. Facility has added new wood chips called certified school wood chips around and under high climbing equipment for cushioning materials that will absorb a fall. Ratios are maintained for this program along with capacity. There is a new carbon monoxide detector located in the classroom which meets statutory requirements.
Director checked Facility Personnel Report summary to ensure that all staff who are present, have criminal record clearances on file and are associated to the facility and they are.

At the present time there do not appear to be any deficiencies and this facility appears to be meeting Title 22 and Licensing requirements. This is a public document which must be available at your facility site for a period of three years. Original signature is on original paperwork. Incidental Medical Services were discusses.
