Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Katina Boulai met with Lead Teacher Angelina Corral for an unannounced Random Annual visit. The program operates from 7:30pm - 5:30 PM and opens 12 months out of the year. LPA toured the buildings including all activity/classroom areas, food service area, restrooms and outdoor play areas. LPA reviewed care and supervision of children, staffing ratios, health related services, including medications, furniture, equipment, drinking water and food service provisions.

LPA reviewed the sign/in-sign/out sheet, and at least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid exp. 1/24/17. The program is operated by the Sacramento City Unified School District and all staff currently employed by the school district has criminal record clearances through the school district. No poisons were observed in the classroom, there are no firearms or bodies of water on the property. LPA reviewed children's medical assessment (Physician Report), Identification and Emergency information. Staff's health screening was not viewed due to school district hires their own personnel.

LPA reviewed Departments inspection authority and discussed with designee any changes that may occur regarding the director or an employee acting in director's absence must be reported to department within 10 working days. LPA conducted an exit interview.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services-IMS. LPA reviewed the storage of medication and equipment and supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. LPA discussed the need to update the centers plan of operation to reflect IMS plan. Specifics on the plan can be found in the child care center evaluator manual (CCC EM) Policy 101173.

No Title 22 Deficiencies were cited during this visit.
