LPA Vickie Capurso-Valles conducted an unannounced random visit & met with Director Erica Larkin (Zamarripa). Present were 2 teacher with 4 infants. Staff ratios & capacity meet regulation. All staff are fingerprint cleared. The facility currently is operating year round, M-F from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, in the Sandpiper room. All children were under visual supervision. There are no: bodies of water on site, no weapons or firearms, or poisons on site. Disinfectants, toxins and other hazards were inaccessible to children, in locked cabinets or up high. Materials and surfaces appear safe and toxic free. There are no medications stored on site at this time. IMS plan of operations discussed. All toilets and handwashing facilities and floors appeared safe and sanitary. Furniture and equipment appeared to be in good condition and safe. All kitchen/food prep areas appeared clean and free of rodents. Trash cans do not have lids but food is put directly into a compost can & paper trash is in trash cans; no signs of insects or rodents; no contaminated food was seen. Public, uncontaminated drinking water available inside with cups, outside with cups. All food and beverages stored in fridges of 45' or less. Menus were posted 1 week in advance; center serves am/pm snack and children bring lunch. The facility has working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Playground equipment appeared in good and safe condition and outdoor activity space surface appeared safe and free of hazards. Staff records were reviewed for educational requirements and were complete. Staff had current CPR/First Aid. Children's records reviewed for admission agreements and were complete. Sign in/out sheets had full parent/guardian signatures. The indoor & outdoor space are separated from the preschool program. There was an appropriate changing table. There are 3 cribs; sufficient napping equipment. Each child had a needs & service plan; the plans were updated quarterly. There was a feeding plan for each child.


Licensee & the facility substantially meet Title 22 Regulations today.
There were no deficiencies cite of Title 22, Division 12.
