|Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Silva Garibyan, met with licensee for the purpose of a Pre-licensing visit, capacity increase. Licensee meets the requirements for a large capacity license after having been a small family child care home provider for 17 months. Present during the visit were the licensee, 1 infant and 3 pre-school children in care. Family members residing at the facility are: 2 adults. Main care will be provided in the living room and two bedrooms on the first floor Off limit areas include the entire second floor, which consists of 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, detached garage and the guest house. The licensee has a safety gate positioned at the bottom of the staircase, making the upper level inaccessible.. The licensee was reminded that if she decided to rent the guest house, the tenants have to be fingerprinted and cleared. Children utilize the bathroom located in the hall way (down stairs). Children play in the back yard which is fenced. Notification of Parents’ Rights Poster and Emergency Disaster Plan are posted. Pediatric CPR and First Aid expire 03/2016. |
Per the licensee there has been no noted changes to the home or occupants since her last visit ( pre-licensing conducted on 07/02/15), the facility remains in substantial compliance at this time.
Capacity and Ratios: The licensee has applied for a capacity increase for a large family . The Max capacity is 12 with no more than 4 infants and a qualified assistant. Without a qualified assistant the license reverts back to the requirements for a small family childcare. Optional care may be provided for a maximum capacity of 14 children with no more then 3 infants, 2 school age children and a qualified assistant. School age children must be 1 age 6 yrs and 1 in Kindergarten.
