|Upon arrival, LPA Sharalyn Jenkins-Sweeten conducted a case management visit in the administrative building. LPA met with Jumoke Parkinson (H R Assistant) for the purpose of reviewing staff/prospective staff records and completing staff qualification evaluations. During the visit, LPA also obtained a copy of the updated Personnel Report (LIC 500) to satisfy a portion of the Compliance Plan requirement. During the visit, the LPA also reviewed the Compliance Plan documentation in its entirety which was submitted to the department on 11/10/15 in response to the Noncompliance Conference held on 10/13/15. |
Additionally, LPA toured the facility and met with Kristina Mitchell (director) for the purpose of observing compliance plan requirements concerning the following:
Teacher-Child Ratios/Infant-Staff ratios
Implementation of the transitional sign-in sheets,
Properly documented sign-in/out sheets in classrooms
Observation of classroom transitions and supervision of children in care
LPA also observed posted signs announcing early dismissal on 12/4/15 for Staff In Service Training on 12/4/15.
LPA obtained a photocopy of Ms. Mitchell's CCC Operations and Record Keeping Orientation Certificate updated 11/19/15 as required in the Compliance Plan during the visit.
The Compliance Plan submitted has been reviewed and is deemed adequate to meet departmental expectations. LPA has consulted with Kristina Mitchell on the implementation and use of security officers during transitional periods at the facility and has instructed her to ensure that all security officers working in the facility obtain a criminal record clearance prior.
A copy of this report was explained and issued to Kristina Mitchell, director.
