A unannounced case management visit was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Duarte, who met with facility Director Cyndi Gomez and toured the facility inside and outside. The center is located on the premises of Hope Lutheran Church located at 364 E. Barstow in Fresno. The licensee is requesting an increase of capacity from 12 to 30 infant children. This program will operate year round Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00PM. There will be two classrooms in operation, one on the north side of the property, and one on the south side. Ill infants will be isolated in the classroom until picked up by the authorized representative. Room measurements taken and reviewed with licensee. The total infant area measured 1,072 square feet which will accommodate 30 infant children. The total outside square footage used for infant children measured 2,978 square feet, which meets the requested capacity for 30 children. This play yard will be shared with the toddler option program at different times, with no commingling of programs. There is adequate storage space available for children's belongings, and outdoor storage is available for toys and equipment. LPA observed that toys and equipment age appropriate, and there is adequate shade available in the outdoor activity area with a shade structure and trees. For every 5 infants that are being potty trained, licensee will have a potty training chair designated for use. There are two sinks in each classroom that are arms length from the changing area. In the south classroom, where older infants will be cared for, and a changing mat will be used arms length from the black sink. This classroom also has mats for the older infants to nap. An igloo with disposable cups will be used for outside water for children and a pitcher with water and sippy cups will be used for children's water inside the classrooms. LPA inspected the area and observed 10 cribs available for crib infants. A fire clearance has been received for 30 infant children. - Continued on nest page LIC 809-C
